Amelia’s formal training began with the study of Architecture [University of Cambridge, 2014-17], during which she developed a profound interest in design at the intersection of architecture, interiors, furniture and objects. Subsequently working as a set designer then editorial copywriter, in the Spring of 2021 she established an independent practice that encompasses the design and production of bespoke objects and furniture pieces. Defined by a strict formal language, essential material palette and subtle wit, her works are titled with tongue-in-cheek 20th-century literary references that speak of her deep appreciation for diverse academic, artistic and cultural disciplines. She currently works as a designer, writer, editor and the newly appointed academic writing lead of the Project Cities Taught MPhil in Architecture and Urban Design at the Architectural Association in London.
